Undoubtedly, social media is like social oxygen and no one can escape that or neither would like to, there was a time, when we use to like orkuting.
There was a time when seniors use to restrict their juniors from using orkut in computer labs. It was like an addiction. some are chewed up for the same many times. But now I don’t remember when was the last time I clicked on orkut link. There are reasons which don’t pull in anymore. When I started quantify my thoughts, figured few reasons; and when I got in depth, found something more interesting.
The web language for orkut is bit hard as compare to facebook. Facebook have simplest web language Orkut seems a bit heavy, heavy in the sense that links took more time to open and in worse “bad bad server, No donut for you”. While other social networking sites are faster as compare to orkut.
Orkut doesn’t provide social sharing plugins/ modules while other social networking sites do. These plugins offer easy and quick sharing. Anyone can set these codes to their site with almost no knowledge of hard coding. Orkut doesnot have this option so one who needs to share something should have Orkut opened in other tab.
Now days social media is use for business and Orkut does not provide page creation for a business promoter. There is a feature for creating ads on orkut but link to that ad is not available publicly. Thereby losing hope for promoters to enjoy this Application. Most of the people on orkut join communities but the updates of community are not available on the homepage.
Entertainment is the biggest part in today’s social media life. If the person finds something boring he will never visit there again. People search for fun wherever they go no one likes bore and orkut has little application for entertainment as compare to facebook. There should be amusing which holds users on site.
But still I think everything has a expiry date, but let’s enjoy the party till it exists. Happy socializing.

our world has become so small and we try to grab the whole world into our Tablets…we at most times, survive in the digital world, we breath social media, we chat online, we love online and we have already started smelling the domination of digital wastes in our lives. We do everything digitally. So why are we not bothering to become digital marketing professionals in businesses world?
Failure is the path to success:
You should always try to live up by saying “Fall down nine times, get up 10” if you find an obstacle in your way , you should get more determine to get through it. No one is perfectionist but I believe there is always room for improvement. And I think that is why I am attracted to digital marketing. Considering the fact that online marketing, digital media are constantly changing that’s why one can afford to make mistakes often since it’s actually the norm. There is no other medium which is so flexible and forgiving as the web. If you haven’t made any mistakes yet then you aren’t trying hard enough. Always try something new, and you give your best an than also it doesn’t work out then forget about it move on and try something else.
You can’t apply this for traditional marketing because the cost when making mistakes is far greater. The spelling mistake in a brochure you catch after 1000 have been printed is a lot more hurtful than a spelling mistake on a web page or in an email. Online it takes few hours to fix a mistake as compare to thousands of rupees required to reprint a brochure.
So, What I want to say is that if you want to be successful with digital marketing then don’t be afraid to fail. In fact welcome failure. Learn from you’re and others mistakes and try again. Things can be change quickly online relatively inexpensively. And your online efforts tracked more accurately so when you find a winning formula it is easy to repeat and optimize. We have seen many successful people such as Dhirubhai Ambani, Steve Jobs and many more as such who overcame serious obstacles by making a lot of mistakes first. So, let’s pay honour to our ancestors and carry on the tradition - Fail fast. Fail often. Success will follow!!!!
